Pagewala ("we", "our", "us") operates pagewala.com. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our AI-powered sales agent service for Facebook Messenger.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information

  • Name, phone number, and password (for phone/password auth)
  • Email address and profile info (if you sign in with Google)
  • Language preference

Facebook Page Data

  • Facebook Page access tokens (encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM)
  • Page name, ID, and profile picture
  • Messenger conversations and messages from your page
  • Facebook posts (when you use the FB Sync feature)

Product & Order Data

  • Product catalog (names, prices, descriptions, images)
  • Customer orders (name, phone, address, items, payment method)

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate the AI sales agent that responds to your customers' messages
  • To process and display orders in your dashboard
  • To send you notifications (WhatsApp alerts for orders and escalations)
  • To improve our AI responses and service quality
  • To provide customer support

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

  • Google (Gemini AI) — message content is sent for AI processing. Google does not retain this data for training.
  • Facebook/Meta — replies are sent back via the Messenger API.
  • Cloudinary — product images are stored for catalog display.
  • WhatsApp Cloud API — notification messages to your WhatsApp number.

5. Data Security

  • Facebook Page tokens are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM
  • All data access is scoped by account — no cross-tenant access
  • Passwords are hashed with bcrypt (cost factor 12)
  • All connections use HTTPS/TLS
  • Webhook payloads are verified with HMAC-SHA256 signatures

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data (pages, conversations, orders, products) is permanently deleted within 30 days. You can request data deletion at any time from your dashboard settings or via our Data Deletion page.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data via the dashboard
  • Export your orders as CSV
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Disconnect your Facebook Page at any time
  • Revoke Pagewala's access from your Facebook settings
